A promo code saving $4 on a single entree barely registers. The same code on a catering order feeding forty people is a different conversation, and that is why catering codes are the most searched and the most often faked in this whole category. Chipotle catering starts in the region of $12.00 to $15.00 per head once chips and drinks are included, so a group of forty lands somewhere between $480.00 and $600.00.

Catering buys serving equipment and a build your own line. Individual entrees buy food and nothing else. The right answer depends entirely on group size and whether anyone is serving.

Four things reduce a Chipotle catering bill reliably, and none of them is a code. Ordering early is the first, because catering orders placed close to the pickup time can carry a rush surcharge that a day of notice avoids entirely. Choosing chicken as the base protein is the second, since the $1.89 gap per head multiplies straight through a group of forty into $75.60.
Paying with gift cards bought during a bonus promotion is the third, and it is the only genuine stack available. A gift card is a payment method rather than a discount, so it does not occupy the single promo code slot, and the order still earns Rewards points. Chipotle runs bonus card promotions around Black Friday and through December, which is why a December catering budget is worth pre funding in November.
Skipping drinks is the fourth and least glamorous. At $3.05 a head, drinks on a forty person order add $122.00 for something most offices already have. Chips and guac at $5.20 a head is the other line worth deciding on deliberately rather than by default.
Catering codes and standard order codes are not interchangeable. The catering portal runs its own checkout with its own promo field. A code that works on a burrito order is rejected on a catering order and the reverse is equally true.
A large share of the codes ranking for Chipotle catering belong to marketplace platforms rather than to Chipotle. CHIPOTLE30 offered 30 percent off a Mexican catering order on CaterCow between 22 May and 31 August 2026, and it is often presented as a Chipotle code. It was a CaterCow promotion applying to CaterCow pricing.
Those promotions are real and can be worth using, but the comparison has to be made on the final total rather than on the percentage. Marketplace catering pricing sits above direct pricing in the same way marketplace delivery pricing does, so 30 percent off a marked up base can land close to the direct price. Catering runs through the dedicated catering section on chipotle.com rather than the standard ordering flow, with its own minimums and its own lead times. Order a day ahead where possible, confirm the protein split against the headcount rather than guessing, and check whether the location handles delivery in house or hands it to a partner, because that decides what the delivery line will look like.
